TRAINING FOR CROP SURVEY OFFICERS (RICE AND OTHER FOOD CROPS)

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Sumba Barat Regency  has conducted a training for crop survey officers (UBINAN) for rice and other food crops. This training will be conducted for two days, starting from the 11th to the 12th of December 2024, at the Aula of Pelita Waikabubak Hotel and the rice and other food crops Ubinan practice site.

The Ubinan survey is a routine activity conducted by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Sumba Barat Regency, coinciding with the farmers' harvest season. The purpose of this survey is to measure the Crop Productivity Index, especially for rice and other food crops.

Rice Ubinan is conducted based on the Area Frame Sample (AFS), while Ubinan for other food crops, besides rice, is based on a household approach.
